DIY Black Boxes

Introducing the  DIY Black Box  by  The DIY Collective

This box was designed with two types of DIYers in mind; the first is for beginners to be able to gain an instant access to a library of famous concentrate flavours, and the second is for experienced DIYers to be able to broaden their library of concentrates, all at an affordable price.

The DIY Black Box contains concentrates from famous brands such as: The Flavor Apprentice (TFA), Flavour Art (FA), Capella (CAP), Inawera (INA), Hangsen (HS), Molinberry (MB) and Flavorah (FLV).

Making your own E-Liquid is now easier than ever

Making your own E-Liquid is now easier than ever

First off, you need the four components that make up all e-juice:

Propylene Glycol

Otherwise known as PG. The more Propylene Glycol in your e-liquid you have, the more flavour of your concentrates will come through, at the cost of throat hit and clouds.. We recommend 500 mL for starters. Quick Link: https://www.thesteamery.com.au/collections/diy-supplies/products/30ml-unflavoured-propylene-glycol-pg

Vegetable Glycerine

Vegetable Glycerine – Or VG for short. This will likely make up the bulk of your ejuice. The more Vegetable Glycerin in your e-liquid you have, the more vapour production and sweeter tasting your flavour will become. We recommend a ratio of 70% VG and 30% PG for most scenarios. Flavour Concentrates

Flavour Concentrates – These determine what your juice will ultimately taste like. The Steamery offers hundreds of individual flavour concentrates to choose from (see concentrate range), which can be combined to make countless unique e-liquid flavours. As well as the concentrates and VP/PG, you’ll need other equipment for the actual mixing process. There are two methods: mixing by volume and mixing by weight. We’ll look at both, but strongly recommend mixing by volume. Quick Link: https://www.thesteamery.com.au/collections/diy-concentrates

Syringes & SCALES

If you’re mixing by volume, you’ll need a selection of syringes. We advise getting some 10 mL syringes for the PG and VG, and plenty of 3 mL syringes for nicotine and flavour concentrates. But if you are mixing by weight, a digital scale could be just what you need, they make mixing faster, cleaner and easier. Storage Bottles

Store your mixes in individual squeezy/dropper bottles with nozzle tips to make it easy to add your concentrates. For your early experiments, buy a selection of 30 mL plastic bottles for test recipes and some 60 mL or 120 mL bottles to make larger amounts of your favourite homebrew e-liquid. labels

Use blank sticky labels or masking tape to write the details on before sticking to the bottle.
